AUTO DA ÍNDIA – Teatro Helena Sá e Costa
Poster and merch
The Auto of India play speaks of adultery. Constantly, dissatisfied with her husband and apparently married only out of interest, Constança finds two lovers (a Castilian named Juan de Zamora and a Portuguese named Lemos) while her husband is on a trip to India. The scene unfolds in her home, with the complicity and dislike of her maid, who tries at cost to defend the morals of her lord.
